Duties

− Production of citrus and subtropical fruit collections and foundation blocks by collecting native varieties and import of citrus and subtropical fruits.

− Production of scions and rootstocks for both fresh and processing industries by classical and new breeding methods (mutation breeding, protoplast fusion, gene transformation and nanotechnology).

− Production of disease-free sources by shoot tip grafting, thermotherapy and stigma and style culture.

− Construction and management of primary propagation nurseries of native and imported disease-free sources.

− The establishment and management of Foundation blocks from native and imported disease-free sources.
